Privacy
What we collect
- Your account: email address and password (stored only as a secure hash).
- If you sign in with Discord or Google: your account ID there, your email address and the name/username on that account. We don't get your password, can't post as you, and don't keep access tokens. You can disconnect it any time from your profile.
- Your profile: display name, and anything else you choose to add — name, pronouns, Discord handle, location, profile image, phone, PayPal email, mailing address, t-shirt size.
- Your activity on the site, including but not limited to poll answers, convention session sign-ups and details, and character interactions, along with changes you make to them.
Why
To organize SpiralCon: to know who's coming, pick dates and locations, contact you about the convention, and plan things like shirts and reimbursements.
Who can see it
- Other signed-in members see your display name, as well as the profile fields you choose to show.
- The SpiralCon Evil Council (our organizers) can see all of your profile and your activity on the site.
- We never sell your data or share it with anyone else, except service providers that run the site for us (for example, sending email).
Your choices
You can edit or remove profile details at any time from your profile. To have your account deleted, email [email protected].
Keeping your information safe
We take protecting your information seriously and use industry-standard safeguards, including:
- Encrypted connections between your browser and the site.
- Passwords that are never stored in readable form.
- Extra sign-in verification for everyone who can see members' private details.
- Access to personal information limited to the people who need it.
- Regular, protected backups.
No system is perfectly secure. If you think your account or information has been misused, or you have spotted a security problem, please tell us right away at [email protected].
